What is the varicose vein?

Blood flows through veins from the leg to the heart in one direction with the effect of the muscles during walking. Due to the structural defect in the valves, blood escapes and creates high pressure. Twisted blue dilatations occur in veins associated with this.

What are varicose types?

Telangiectasia

  • It is not palpated and gives purple or light red color to the skin on it.

Reticular Varicose veins

  • Deeply located in the dermis
  • Diameters <4 mm
  • Not palpable
  • They give dark blue color to the skin on it.

Trunkal Varicose veins

  • Usually> 4 mm in diameter
  • Subcutaneous settlement
  • Palpable
  • They do not change the color of the skin on it

Varicose veins is one of the most important health problems seen in the society; It affects an average of 30% of women and 25% of men. What are the risk factors in the development of varicose veins?
